DNA testing and it's dangers

Have you taken your DNA test yet? I haven't done. Well, I guess I'll do it maybe someday.

What's your experience with it?

I know some people try few sources and want to compare the results. Then there is the problem of some companies being bought out and what happens to your data? Would it be in the hands of the wrong person and what dangers would it pose to individuals?
